Brigitte Herz, Director
Brigitte Herz is the co-founder and director of the One World Language School. Brigitte is a teacher and has extensive teaching experience from kindergarten, elementary, middle school to the university level (most recently at St. Anselm College and the University of New Hampshire). She has taught both in the U.S. and abroad in Canadian, British and German schools. Brigitte grew up in Germany attended Phillips Academy in the U.S. and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in German and English Literature (Joint-Honors) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Brigitte is fluent in both German and French, growing up in Germany and having spent time living in both Paris and Montréal.
Julie Reece, Director
Julie Reece is the co-founder and director of the One World Language School. Before starting One World with Brigitte Herz, Julie was an attorney, practicing in Washington, DC and Philadelphia. Julie has always been avidly interested in language and international affairs. Growing up in Florida, she started learning Spanish in preschool. In high school, Julie was an academic-year AFS exchange student to Hong Kong, and she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from Smith College. She also studied classical and modern Chinese at Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan. Julie has lived, studied, and worked in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the People’s Republic of China.

Our Teachers
We work with professional teachers to develop the curriculum and teach the classes. Here are the biographies of some of these professionals:
French teacher:
Jennifer Bell received her BA in French from Tufts University, a Masters of Science in Education from Northwestern University and a certificate of Educational Administration from the College of New Rochelle. Jennifer has studied French in Paris, France and on the island of St. Pierre. As an educator for the past fifteen years, it has been her passion and career goal to make language learning enjoyable and accessible to children. She enjoys teaching French through literature, art, music and movement, and employs a wide range of techniques to meet the needs of all styles of learners.
German teacher:
Meche Romoser was born and educated in Germany. After receiving a Master's degree in History and English Linguistics from the University of Freiburg, she married and moved to the U.S.. Meche taught German at UNH while completing her Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology. She spent many years living abroad with her family in Portugal, Germany and Japan teaching both English and German to children and adults. Meche also worked as a translator for the German publishing company, Wissenschaftliche Buchgesellschaft. Most recently, she was employed as a Speech/ Language Pathologist for children.
Chinese teacher:
LiMei Ye earned her B.A. in English Literature and M.A. in American Studies from Sichuan University. She will be granted her M.A. in Education from the University of New Hampshire when she finishes her internship next year. LiMei was born in China and began her teaching career at age 18. She spent nine years teaching English to graduate students at the Zhong Shan University (Sun Yat-Sen University) in southern China. She has been teaching Chinese at the One World Language School for the past four years. At One World, she has worked with all levels of Chinese learners from the youngest Trailblazers to the Voyager class. LiMei is currently also teaching English as a Second Language to middle schoolers.
Spanish teacher:
Sarah Sebald received her BA in Spanish from the University of New Hampshire, but she began her interests in Spanish at a young age while growing up in San Diego. Her studies at UNH allowed her to travel extensively throughout Costa Rica, and she continues to work summers in rural Costa Rican communities. Sarah has been teaching Spanish at Seacoast Academy in Hampton Falls since 2008, working with One World Language School since 2007, and serving students of the Seacoast Area as a private Spanish tutor since 2006.
