Our Mission

The One World Language School is a non-profit organization, founded in 2003, with the sole purpose to provide affordable language and cultural education to all children regardless of their socio-economic circumstances.

Our programs encourage individual growth in foreign language proficiency while promoting cultural appreciation among the people of the region and of the world.

We seek to educate children to the level of fluency and to provide them with the cultural tools to travel comfortably between their native language and culture and that of their target language and culture.

We take great pride in providing early language education opportunities to children through our French, German, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese Classes and Teaching Kits.

Our History

The One World Language School started in the summer of 2003 with 23 children enrolled in a weeklong summer camp. In the fall, there were more than 50 children enrolled in One World’s after-school programs for children in grades 2 and up. In the spring of 2004, One World did a pilot program for children ages 3-7 and enrolled another 30 students. Enrollments have steadily increased each year, and currently over 200 students are enrolled in One World French, Spanish, German, and Mandarin Chinese classes.

In an effort to expand access to early language education, the One World Language School released its curriculum for children ages 3-10 in the form of affordable teaching kits. Now, every young child has the opportunity to learn another language, whether they live close to the Seacoast or across the country!
